Southern Refrigerated Transport (SRT) is always
looking to the future. Located along Interstate 30 at mile
marker 9, SRT moved into its new headquarters in August 2006.
The new headquarters include a 40,000-square foot building complete
with office and driver facilities. The new complex also
includes a 40,000-square-foot Maintenance shop with 25 work bays, a
fuel island, and an automatic truck wash. Keeping in mind
that if a rig is not hauling freight. Neither the driver nor SRT
are making any money. In October of 2011 SRT built and opened an
Express Service facility for tractor and trailer inspections along
with complete oil and lube services to get you back on the road
faster. The total area of the expansion is approximately 84 acres
and is located on the Arkansas side of Texarkana.
The new headquarters was designed with growth in mind. The
new facilities now allows SRT to support a 1,000 plus-truck
operation, a number SRT hopes to grow in the years to come.
As a commitment to the largest sector of our staff – our drivers –
we have an entire corner of the new facility dedicated to
drivers. Showers for both men and women are available, as
well as plenty of washers and dryers. A vending and snack
area is also available. Quiet rooms allow drivers to relax in
peace and a TV lounge allows drivers to catch the latest programs. There is also WIFI for the
drivers to use in and around the Main Office building.
